Current rules governing all Submitted Works to Our Dark Skies Web Community

Before you can submit any works to ODS for usage anywhere in the site you must print and mail in the appropriate release form. Works submitted in general for things such as the ODS Magazine, ODS Book, Calendar, posters, etc use the “General Release”. If you are creating a work and plan to give full ownership to ODS, you will need a different form. Email Vincent (vydorscope@ourdarkskies.com) for more information.

The normal agreements are saved as PDF. To view/print them you will need the free Adobe Reader.

This agreement only needs to be sent in once, and will cover all submissions to ODS. Any work covered by a previous agreement does not need a new permission form as they are still under the previous agreement.

Feel free to send in your form at any time, even if you just think you might someday send something in. This will save time down the road if you should submit one.

When you send in your form, please include a note stating your user name on the forum so we can track it easily.

NOTE: If you are a minor, please have your parent or legal guardian sign the form in addtion to your signature. A second form with 2 signature spaces is provided for you.

Previous rules governing all Submitted Works to Our Dark Skies Web Community
(Effective only for works submited through Jan 1st, 2006 and is now supersceded by the new General Release Form)

A) What this document does not cover:

• Any Submitted Works that are covered by separate written agreements between Our Dark Skies Web Community and the creators of said works.
• Posts to the message forum, which are governed by the terms and rules of the forum, and are not considered to be Submitted Works to Our Dark Skies Web Community for the purposes of this document.

B) What this document covers:

• All Submitted Works to the Our Dark Skies Web Community, regardless of method of submission.

C) Defintions:

• Submitted Works are defined as any image, article, review, file, or anything created and specifically submitted to Our Dark Skies Web Community for its use.
  

D) Rules governing submitted works:

• The creators of the Submitted Works to Our Dark Skies Web Community that are covered by this document give Our Dark Skies Web Community full and exclusive permission to use the Submitted Works royalty free.
• At no time will Our Dark Skies Web Community claim to have created any of the Submitted Works, and will make a reasonable effort to make it clear who created the Submitted Works.
• Our Dark Skies Web Community will not sell any Submitted Works without separate agreements with the creators of the Submitted Works.

E) Rules governing updates to this document:

• From time to time, Our Dark Skies Web Community will make updates and changes to this document as needed. It is the responsibility of the creators of the Submitted Works to periodically review this document.
• All changes will be retroactive to all previous Submitted Works.
• Should the creators of the Submitted Works not agree with changes made to this document, they may contact Our Dark Skies Web Community and seek either special secondary agreements, or removal of their Submitted Works.

Our Dark Skies Web Community is a service of Vydor Network Services. All content of these pages, and the entire site is copyrighted by Vydor Network Services, and may not be used by anyone without express written permission. All works submitted to are governed by these rules. The forums are governed by the Forum Terms and Rules.
