We are presently looking for advertisers interested in tapping into the highly targeted audience of Our Dark Skies members. Our community presently has over 250 registered members who have contributed well over a hundred thousand posts, photographs, and articles.
We are currently publishing a quarterly magazine, called “Dark Sky Insight.” This magazine is free to our members who are subscribers, and non-subscribers can buy the magazine via our online store.
We are asking $35 (US) for a full color advertisement in the magazine inserted into one of the major articles, or $75 for a full-page full color advertisement. If you wish to have exclusive space you can purchase the back cover for $100. In addition to having the advertisement in the magazine, you would be given the option to have a short text advertisement in the announcement of the release of the magazine that will seen by all members and visitors to ODS. This is a very narrowly targeted audience, as only astronomers or those interested in astronomy come to the site.
In addition to the advertisement, we would need payment before the magazine goes to print. The insert advertisement should be a 460x700 JPEG file with minimal compression. The full page should be an 1840x2800 JPEG file with minimal compression. Payment can be any method that PayPal will accept.

You also are invited to register on the forums as a vendor and communicate directly with your customers and potential customers via the “Vendor Chat” forum we have set up for this purpose. You may freely post about upcoming events, sales, new products, or just general information. In return we ask that you make yourself, or a representative from your company, available to answer questions and comments from members via that same forum.
We will only accept advertisements that we feel are appropriate for our magazine, and once the magazine goes to print it will not be possible to grant any refunds.
